WHAT TO EXPECT
Plan Your Visit
We would love to have you visit us. Not only will you receive a warm welcome at Emmanuel Baptist, but you will also hear a solid Bible message.
You will find people who love the Lord Jesus Christ and desire to grow in His all-sufficient Word. It is our desire to exalt God above all else!
What Should I Wear?
On a Sunday morning you will find men in casual dress, and some will be wearing shirts and ties. Ladies wear dresses, skirts, or slacks. You will find a variety, so feel free to wear what’s comfortably modest.
Will I Be Asked To Give Money?
No, you are our guest, and we ask that you in no way feel obligated to give money. As a guest, you should not feel any pressure to give, instead we hope to minister to you when you visit.
What About My Kids?
Nursery
We will have nursery available when desired by parents, you are not required in any way to use it, during all services (Sunday School, Sunday Morning, Sunday Evening and Wednesday Evening). Feel free to ask about nursery if it appears we are not having it the day you visit, our regularly “attending” babies may just be absent that day. You may also contact us ahead of time and let us know too.
Children 2 Years old - Highschool
We have age based classes available during Sunday School, and on Wednesday Evenings we have Kids 4 Truth for kids up until 6th grade. Anyone 6th grade and up is welcome to join us on Wednesdays for a time of prayer, and Bible Study.
What Is a Service Like At Emmanuel?
The Sunday morning service consists of congregational singing of several songs, and hymns rooted in Scripture, Bible readings, and a sermon. The overall service will normally last about one hour.
The Sunday evening service we have a more informal time of Bible study, sharing food, and praying together. If you’re a guest, please don’t feel obligated to bring any food, and just enjoy the time of fellowship!
The Wednesday service consists of Bible Study, and group prayer. At first we will all meet together. Then anyone under 6th grade has classes during this time that they will be dismissed. After class everyone will meet together upstairs for closing. Though we have age based classes, students are welcome to join in the service if they, or their parents prefer. The service is normally about an hour long.
